Baby Photos – Little Cooper

The other week I took some photos of a friend’s 3 month-old baby. Little Cooper Reece Donnelly. What a cutie!

Cooper was pretty easy to work with, all things considered. When I showed up he made me wait while he finished eating. These high-profile models are all the same. It’s all me, me, me.

That was fine though because it gave me time to unpack some of my gear and scope out the digs at Cooper’s house. I set up my lighting equipment and took a couple test shots in the entry-way.

I asked Cooper’s father Tim to show me where Coop spends most of his time and was led to the top-floor penthouse. A huge bed (compared to Cooper’s size) was made with the finest linens. Many stuffed wild animals from, I assume, Cooper’s many expeditions, were peering out at me so I knew I needed to watch my step with this one.

I began to tell Tim what I had planned for the photo session when Cooper himself entered the room being carried by his mother Devri.

We did some shots in Cooper’s room, some in his favorite red hat, and then some on his parent’s bed.

After a while, Cooper got bored with my requests and finally fell asleep on the floor…something his parents said he’d never done before. I took that as my chance to get out of there before he awoke and questioned why I was still there.

Photographing Cooper was a lot of fun and I’m looking forward to the opportunity to do it again.
