Hoopfest 2008 – Photos

June 30, 2008 – 1:25 pm

This is only my second post on this blog but my attempt will be to use this as a place to keep you updated on my photography experiences.

I always enjoy taking photos during Spokane’s Hoopfest. I walk around photographing with all the other spectators along the crowded sidewalks and also scale a building or two like Spiderman to look down on the crowds from a unique angle.

Some of my photos this year were shot with a tilt shift lens which is commonly used for architectural photography. The lens can also produce an interesting blur effect that sometimes makes photos appear as tiny toy models.

I was out in the 100 degree heat for over 10 hours over the two-day event sweating as if I was actually playing.

I hope you enjoy these photos. Drop me a comment so I know if there is anyone out there or if I’m writing into a silent void.
