I’m going to be showing some photos along with many other local artists tonight, October 2nd, 2009 at Terrain Spokane.
It’s downtown in the Music City Building…at 1011 1st Avenue (map).

For the third time now I photographed “friend of the family”…little Cooper who is now 9 months old! In the days after our photo session he started showing off his crawing skills so now Coop’s on the move!
Since I still wanted to again photograph in Cooper’s own surroundings but also wanted a clean “studio” look to some of the shots, we set up a backdrop in the living room to start. Later we moved the backdrop behind his parents bed and got shots of him playing with his books. We also went outside into the bright sun and I used an off-camera flash to fill in the shadows.
Cooper had some angry and also sad moments during our adventure but I learned from photographing my son (now 17 months old) to capture those moments too because the are all part of the different stages of being a baby!
Check back in a few months when Cooper will be ONE!
This Friday, September 4th, 2009, I will be showing some of my photos as part of Downtown Spokane’s First Friday Art Walk. My photos will be on display at Santé Restaurant & Charcuterie which is at 404 West Main St., next to Aunties Bookstore.
The show will be up for the remainder of September so if you can’t stop by Friday, stop in for lunch, dinner, or coffee and take a look.
